Synopsis & Plot Summary
To maintain an unprecedented era of peace in Japan, a clandestine organization known as “DA” (Direct Attack) employs orphaned girls trained as highly lethal assassins called “Lycoris.” Takina Inoue is an exceptional but rigid Lycoris who is dismissed from the main DA headquarters after insubordinately opening fire during a hostage situation. She is reassigned to work at Café LycoReco, a branch front operating as a seemingly normal coffee shop. There, she is partnered with Chisato Nishikigi, an energetic, eccentric pacifist who is notoriously known as the strongest Lycoris in history. Together, the mismatched duo handles everything from delivering coffee and teaching languages to stopping dangerous terrorists, all while Takina slowly learns to embrace Chisato’s non-lethal approach to combat and life.
