Synopsis & Plot Summary

Following Japan’s disastrous exit from the 2018 World Cup, the Japan Football Union hires the enigmatic and eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego. His solution to Japan’s lack of a world-class striker is Blue Lock: a prison-like facility where 300 talented high school forwards are pitted against each other. The goal is to destroy the “loser” spirit and create the ultimate “egoist” striker who can lead Japan to global victory. The story follows Yoichi Isagi as he struggles to redefine his playstyle and survive this ruthless elimination game.
