Synopsis & Plot Summary
Set in an alternate-history Edo period, Japan has been conquered by advanced aliens known as “Amanto.” While the samurai have been stripped of their swords and status, Gintoki Sakata, a silver-haired veteran with a sweet tooth, operates the “Yorozuya” (Odd Jobs) business alongside Shinpachi Shimura and the alien girl Kagura.
The 2026 theatrical project revisits the Yoshiwara in Flames Arc, where the trio enters the underground red-light district to face the “King of the Night,” Housen. Meanwhile, the Ginpachi-sensei spin-off reimagines the entire cast in a chaotic high-school setting, with Gintoki serving as the world’s most irresponsible teacher.
