Synopsis & Plot Summary

Iruma Suzuki is a 14-year-old human who has spent his life working hard to survive his parents’ selfishness. His life takes a literal turn for the underworld when his parents sell his soul to the demon Lord Sullivan. Surprisingly, Sullivan doesn’t want to eat him—he wants to adopt him as his grandson.

Iruma is enrolled in the Babyls School for Demons, where he must hide his human identity. If discovered, he could be eaten. However, despite his desire to stay low-profile, Iruma’s innate kindness and “overwhelming crisis evasion capability” lead him to rise through the demon ranks, make eccentric friends, and accidentally become a candidate for the next Demon King.
