Synopsis & Plot Summary
The story follows Yuzuru Otonashi, a boy who awakens in a high school-themed afterlife with no memories of his previous life. He is immediately recruited by Yuri Nakamura, the head of the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront), a group of teenagers rebelling against a cruel God for the unfair lives they were dealt.
Their primary enemy is the mysterious student council president known as Angel. As the battle unfolds, Otonashi discovers the true nature of this world: a place where souls come to find peace and fulfillment before moving on.
